Generazione XY

I was invited to participate in Generazione XY, a performative workshop and contest featuring 10 talented designers under 30. During the three days of the Milano Graphic Festival, we worked at Certosa Graphic Village on an urban design project aimed at creating a new identity language for the neighborhood.

My project, titled “Isolàti”, focuses on redesigning the neighborhood’s modules by studying existing aerial patterns visible on Google Maps, reinterpreting them in a contemporary and site-specific way.







Some of the patterns of Certosa give life to the new blocks:

  1. La Forgiatura, a new building complex that contributes to the neighborhood’s regeneration
  2. The large intersection of Viale Certosa
  3. The scale of La Forgiatura, a detail that stands out thanks to its shape and color
  4. The courtyard of La Certosa
  5. The Santorre di Santarosa square, which resembles a camera lens
  6. The typical layout of Milanese houses
